Systematic Review of Neonatal Pain Management with 25% Dextrose Versus Direct Breast Feed Milk During Painful Procedure

This systematic review is the product of 25 top published journals. The search engines adopted in this study werePubMed, Medline, CINHAL, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, and Research gate. inclusion criteria were:1.Papers between 2000-2020, 2.Top tier journal articles (High quality), 3. Term Healthy neonates preterm neonates, 4.Neonates undergoing various painful procedures Neonates receive different pain relief interventions. key searching words were Neonates, Painful Procedures, BCG Vaccination, 25% Dextrose. present paper highlights that dextrose direct breastfeed milk relieves neonatal pain. gate-control theory also discusses idea central control through modulation nerve impulses descending fibbers from brain. gate tends to close when cognitive activities such as distraction (e.g., breastfeeding) are processed along these fibres, therefore preventing transmission a “descending blocking action.” mechanism affects entities anxiety, anticipation, memory prior experiences.This shows research gaps studies literature. In review, recent multiple interventions based on RCTs 2010 2020 systematically reviewed using keywords method. findings discussed related listed accordingly.
